The Grand Morocco is our flagship journey. Seven days from the Strait of Gibraltar to the edge of the Sahara — covering the north, the imperial cities, the Atlas Mountains, and the desert. It is the journey Hassan has guided more than any other, and the one Aymane has spent the most time perfecting.
The logic of the itinerary matters. Morocco is a country that reveals itself through contrast — the medina of Fez against the blank horizon of the Sahara, the green Atlas valleys against the red walls of Marrakech. Seven days is enough to feel those contrasts, not just photograph them.
This is the journey for travelers who want to understand Morocco, not just see it. Every night is in a curated riad or desert camp. Every day is private. Hassan guides from the first morning to the last.
Day by Day
Day 01
Hassan meets you at Tangier airport or port. The afternoon in Tangier's medina and Kasbah — the Grand Socco, the Petit Socco, the terrace above the Strait. The city that opens Morocco to the world.
Overnight: Boutique riad in Tangier medina or Kasbah quarter.
Day 02
Drive south through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Hassan walks you through the blue medina at the pace it deserves — the artisan quarter, the Spanish mosque, the mountain spring above the city. Afternoon free to explore at your own rhythm.
Overnight: Riad inside Chefchaouen medina.
Day 03
The drive from Chefchaouen to Fez takes you through the Rif and the Middle Atlas foothills. Afternoon arrival in Fez. First walk through the edges of the medina with Hassan — enough to orient yourself before the deep dive tomorrow.
Overnight: 2 nights in a curated riad inside Fez el-Bali.
Day 04
The full medina. Chouara tanneries, Qarawiyyin mosque, the brass souk, the spice market, the Mellah. Hassan at his best — this is the city he knows most deeply. A full day inside the world's largest medieval urban environment.
Overnight: Night 2 in Fez.
Day 05
The drive from Fez to the pre-Saharan south is one of the great road journeys in Africa. Through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, across the High Atlas passes, past the Todra Gorge — a canyon of 300-metre vertical walls with a river running through its floor. Hassan explains the Berber geography and history of the Atlas as you cross it.
Overnight: Traditional kasbah guesthouse in the Draa Valley or Merzouga foothills.
Day 06
The Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga are the Morocco most people imagine before they arrive. Camel trek at late afternoon when the light turns the dunes copper and red. Sunset from the highest dune. Night in a luxury desert camp under the Saharan sky — no light pollution, extraordinary stars.
Overnight: Luxury desert camp inside the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day 07
Sunrise over the dunes — the best light of the journey. Then the drive to Marrakech or the return to Fez for departure. Hassan drops you at the airport. Or — if you want to stay longer — the Complete Morocco journey adds three more days through Marrakech and the High Atlas.

Common Questions
Can we customize the itinerary?
Yes — this is the default framework. Every detail is adapted before you arrive based on your interests, pace preferences, and accommodation style. Some travelers want more time in specific cities; others want to add or swap destinations. Aymane designs around your trip, not a template.
How does payment work?
A 30% deposit by Wise or bank transfer to confirm the booking and allow Aymane to reserve accommodation. The balance in cash to Hassan on the first day. Aymane sends a full itemized quote before any deposit is requested.
What is the best time of year for this journey?
March–May and September–November are ideal — mild temperatures everywhere, including the Sahara. Summer (June–August) is very hot in the south. December–February can be cold in the Atlas and north but beautifully uncrowded. Aymane advises on seasonal timing when you inquire.
Is this suitable for families with children?
Yes — many of our best journeys have been with families. Hassan is experienced with children and knows how to adapt the pace and content to keep them engaged. Aymane adjusts the itinerary for family travel when designing your journey.
