The Grand Morocco is our flagship journey. Seven days from the Strait of Gibraltar to the edge of the Sahara — covering the north, the imperial cities, the Atlas Mountains, and the desert. It is the journey Hassan has guided more than any other, and the one Aymane has spent the most time perfecting.
The logic of the itinerary matters. Morocco is a country that reveals itself through contrast — the medina of Fez against the blank horizon of the Sahara, the green Atlas valleys against the red walls of Marrakech. Seven days is enough to feel those contrasts, not just photograph them.
This is the journey for travelers who want to understand Morocco, not just see it. Every night is in a curated riad or desert camp. Every day is private. Hassan guides from the first morning to the last.
What You'll See
Stop 01
The city where Europe and Africa face each other. The Kasbah, the Grand Socco, the terrace above the Strait — Morocco's most cosmopolitan opening.
Stop 02
Morocco's blue city in the Rif Mountains. The artisan quarter, the Spanish mosque above town, the mountain spring — Hassan knows it at a pace that photographs never capture.
Stop 03
Two days inside the world's largest medieval urban environment. Chouara tanneries, Qarawiyyin mosque, the brass souk, the spice market. Hassan at his best.
Stop 04
The cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, the High Atlas passes, the Todra Gorge — 300-metre vertical walls with a river running through the floor.
Stop 05
The dunes at Merzouga at late afternoon, when the light turns them copper and red. Camel trek, sunset from the highest ridge, and a night in a luxury desert camp under extraordinary stars.

Questions About This Journey

Yes — this is the default framework. Every detail is adapted before you arrive based on your interests, pace preferences, and accommodation style. Some travelers want more time in specific cities; others want to add or swap destinations. Aymane designs around your trip, not a template.
How does payment work?
A 30% deposit by Wise or bank transfer to confirm the booking and allow Aymane to reserve accommodation. The balance in cash to Hassan on the first day. Aymane sends a full itemized quote before any deposit is requested.
What is the best time of year for this journey?
March–May and September–November are ideal — mild temperatures everywhere, including the Sahara. Summer (June–August) is very hot in the south. December–February can be cold in the Atlas and north but beautifully uncrowded. Aymane advises on seasonal timing when you inquire.
Is this suitable for families with children?
Yes — many of our best journeys have been with families. Hassan is experienced with children and knows how to adapt the pace and content to keep them engaged. Aymane adjusts the itinerary for family travel when designing your journey.
